The Andy Warhol Museum advisory board named Jim Spencer as chair at their recent meeting. He started in this new role on May 2, 2025.

Spencer has been a member of The Warhol’s advisory board since 2016 and held the position of vice chair in 2021. He has been a Carnegie Museums trustee since 2019, and previously served on the advisory board of Carnegie Museum of Art. Spencer is the president and CEO of Exus Renewables North America (Exus). Prior to his tenure and Exus, he spent 35 years in the power industry managing the development and financing of energy projects in both developed and underdeveloped countries. He was the founder, president and CEO of Ever Power Wind Holdings, a national utility scale development and operating wind company, for 16 years. Spencer began his career as an attorney in the energy project finance group at Chadbourne & Parke LLP. He moved to Prudential Capital Corporation to work in the Utilities & Finance Group and then spent more than a decade at Sithe Energies, Inc.

“Serving on The Warhol’s advisory board over the past nine years has been a deeply rewarding experience,” commented Spencer. “As I step into the role of chair, I’m energized by the opportunity to help shape the museum’s next chapter alongside an extraordinarily talented and forward-thinking team. The work the museum is undertaking with The Pop District and our bold workforce development initiatives exemplifies the museum’s commitment to innovation, community and cultural impact. This is a transformative moment for The Warhol—and I’m honored to be part of it.”

“We are thrilled to have Jim Spencer become the new chair of The Warhol’s advisory board,” stated Mario Rossero, the new director of The Warhol. “Given his years of commitment to the museum and his deep passion for the arts, this a great match—I look forward to working closely with Jim during his tenure.”

“It was my greatest honor to be part of The Warhol as the chair of the advisory board for the past eight years,” stated Demetrios Patrinos, previous chair of the advisory board of The Warhol. “I am excited for the new director and the direction that the museum is going. I am glad to pass on the torch to Jim Spencer, whose leadership and dedication to the museum makes him a great fit for this role,”
